This Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 125 Westridge Industrial Blvd,Suite 303, McDonough GA 30253Join us for a light breakfast, network, and come support this women owned business, as we close out Mental Health Month and support this woman owned business! REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE IS FREE ! Join us on Wednesday, May 19th and support this women-owned business! Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc, a federally registered 501C(3) is planning a popup shop and vaccine site in collaboration with our local McDonough Councilwoman Sandra Vincent, State Representative Sandra G. Scott, and several women owned businesses on Saturday, June 19th, from 11 am - 2pm, at our Women's Business Center. We have tied in Juneteenth as we celebrate this new Federal Holiday as our vendors are all minority, women-owned businesses. DJ Kandy will be providing music. Please see attached flyer. NOTE: GA DPH in coordination with Henry County Certified EMTs will be administering on-site vaccinations. They will have a monitoring period of the participant to ensure there is no reaction. They will provide information to the participant on how to get the second shot. ABOUT JUNETEENTH: The holiday honors the end of slavery by commemorating the date in 1865 when Union Army Gen. Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced to enslaved African Americans that the Civil War had ended and they were free. The significance is that is was 2 years after Slavery had actually ended. Our mission for Southern Crescent Women in Business is simple, we must unequivocally foster business relationships to help sustain and grow our business and local economies.
