Ambassador has immediate needs for Machine Operators and Rack Builders for a for a local manufacturing facility in the Gaffney, SC area; this is a great opportunity with a growing company. Competitive pay rates between $15.32 - $16.32 / hour. Rack builders will be responsible for moving fully welded exhaust systems to their correct rack to prepare for shipment. These are physical roles that will require you to be able to lift 75 lbs. continuously throughout your shift. You will also be required to have at least one (1) year of manufacturing experience. Machine Operators will be responsible for operating robotic welders. Some jobs require heavy lifting. Major Responsibilities: - Performs work as assigned by department team leader. - Complies with working instructions. - Addresses problem situations quickly and notify team leader or management immediately. - Meets productivity requirements, committed to and produces quality work. - Attach appropriate labels and tags to identify products through production process. - Pack finished goods into correct boxes or racks as applicable. - Performs operator machine maintenance as specified in work instructions. - Maintain a clean and safe work area. - Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Competencies/ Experience: - Ability to use a computer for work related tasks. - Ability to work in a team- oriented environment. - Understanding of manufacturing, process and quality systems. This position offers overtime and working some 12 hour shifts. The ideal candidate will work from 6:30am to 5:00pm for A Shift or 6:30pm to 5:00am for B Shift. The schedule for A Shift is: 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, Sunday off 4 days on 5 days off including Sunday, 4 days on, Sunday off. Sundays have been minimal but could be required. The schedule for B Shift is 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, Saturday off 4 days on 5 days off including Saturday, 4 days on, Saturday off. Saturdays have been minimal but could be required.
