SEATTLE — T-Mobile Park will welcome Seattle Mariners fans back at full capacity in July, removing social distancing requirements and reopening the rest of the ballpark to all. The team announced the shift Thursday, saying they received permission from the state and King County to move forward with a "Grand Re-Opening Night" on Friday, July 2, just two days after the latest date that Washington will reopen. The M's will face the Texas Rangers.
Fans who have been to games in recent months will notice a few obvious changes:
No social distancing or vaccine-only sections. No required proof of vaccine or negative COVID tests required at gates.Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals, but should be worn by un-vaccinated fans. All kids' areas will be reopened. All areas of the ballpark (ie, The 'Pen and Trident Deck) are reopened to all fans. The Grand Reopening Night celebration includes a few ticket specials, including center field bleacher seats for just $4 and main level seats priced at $17.76 — a nod to Independence Day. For the first time since September 2019, July 2 will also mark the return of a postgame fireworks show.
Season ticket holders will have a priority window for tickets, and the rest will go on sale for all at 2 p.m. on June 24.
