WESTFIELD, NJ — Downtown Westfield's upcoming chalk exhibition took a lot of detail work — so see it this weekend, before the rain comes and washes it away. Like every weekend, Open Quimby, Downtown Westfield's popular pedestrian plaza, is hosting more events, outdoor dining, and live music over this weekend. In addition, the detailed chalk exhibition will be on view from Friday through Sunday. Internationally recognized street artist Anthony Cappetto works in 3D illusions and 4D augmented reality using paint and chalk to create conceptual, thoughtful murals and street art across the U.S. He has begun designing his street art in Westfield on Monday and expects to complete it by Friday. From Friday through Sunday, you can discover chalk AddamsFest characters, created by local artists, hidden throughout downtown. Feeling inspired? Create your own street art chalk designs using free chalk available from downtown Westfield merchants for a limited time and while supplies last.
