Press release from Howard County: 06/16/2021 A man and woman have been charged in the June 7 robbery.  Howard County police have charged two suspects involved in a Woodbine bank robbery June 7. Nicholas Cahill-Lane, 31, of no fixed address, and Ashley Lanham, 27, of Frederick, each were charged with robbery and theft. An employee at the PNC Bank in the15900 block of Old Frederick Road reported that a male suspect with his face partially covered entered the bank at 2:21 p.m. and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled with cash. No one was injured.  Video surveillance showed distinctive tattoos on the suspect's neck. He fled in a burgundy Nissan Sentra driven by a second suspect. Howard County detectives collaborated with other jurisdictions reporting bank robberies with a similar suspect and vehicle matching the same description as the Woodbine case. Through investigation, police identified Cahill-Lane as the suspect who entered the bank and Lanham as the driver of the getaway car. They were located at a motel June 16 and taken into custody without incident. Additional charges in other jurisdictions are likely forthcoming.   ###   This press release was produced by Howard County. The views expressed here are the author's own.
