Join 4-H Insect Club at their first summer meeting on July 20 at the Eastside Leon County Library Branch! 4-H Insect Club is resuming next month! Join us at the Leon County Eastside Library on July 20 to learn all about entomology. The club is open to all students age 8 - 13 in Leon County. Email [email protected] to sign up. Membership fees are waived for this special summer club. The Cooperative Extension Service is a partnership between state land grant universities, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and county governments throughout the nation. In Leon County, the partnership includes the University of Florida (UF), Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), and Leon County Government.   UF/IFAS Extension’s mission is to develop knowledge in agriculture, natural resources, and the life sciences, and to make that knowledge accessible to sustain and enhance the quality of human life. Leon County Extension conducts research-based educational programs in Agriculture and Food Systems, Horticulture, Family & Consumer Sciences, and 4-H Youth Development.
