Max is 5 years old, born March 5th. He is roughly 80lbs. He is crate trained, knows several commands, is loving, and a gentle giant with his family. He is very territorial, and will become protective if he feels his family or home is threatened. For this reason,he is slow to warm to new people outside of his pack. He barks and will let you know if anything is approaching your property. He has always made us feel safe. We are re-homing Max because of his tendency to become defensive around new people he doesn't know well. As our kids are getting older and having more company over he is very overwhelmed and always on guard. Max is an amazing dog and does well with children and other animals (not other dominant male dogs). However, he is better suited for a couple or person with land for him to protect and someone who is not a socialite. If you want to meet him or if you have any questions, please send me an email. Max needs a farm or sizeable plot of land to protect. If you live in a rental or an apartment, max isn't the dog for you.
