A challenging yet rewarding opportunity. Currently hiring Support Staff Professionals in Bucks County to work with a young gentleman who is medically fragile and has an intellectual disability. He is sweet young man who likes to be out and about. He is interested in participating in safe, social activities in the community. This young man needs direct care services for all his needs in both his home and in the community. He needs full support with personal care. This job is a 2:1 staffing position. This young man loves being busy and being out and about. He loves going to the movies, malls, and parks. He loves playing video games and watching old movies and cartoons. We will provide training and support. If you: · Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field: Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work or or have a CNA, LPN, RBT, or a current NADD Competency-Based IDD/MI Dual Diagnosis Direct Support Professional Certification Additionally, Physical Therapy Assistants or Occupational Therapy Assistants are great candidates for this position as well. The pay rate starts at $30 an hour plus mileage You must: Have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. · Be willing and able to provide full care, toileting, showering, feeding Be able to pass standard background checks. Able to Lift and transfer individuals up to 150 lbs. Our Idea Candidate… · Has both medical and behavioral experience. Is physically fit and able lift up to 60 lbs · Has experience as a TSS or PCA · Has experience with various video game consoles. · Has a great sense of humor and a calm demeanor. · Enjoys playing board games, going to the movies and reading books to him. · Enjoys adventures and physical exercise. · Is kind and fun. · Enjoys problem-solving everyday issues. · Enjoys learning new skills. · Enjoys swimming.
