You have experience operating and maintaining various construction equipment. You are able to read blueprints, understand work orders and communicate both with your team and upper management. You like to work outdoors through every season and temperature change. You are willing to travel up to 350 miles for work with a valid US drivers license (CDL is a bonus!). What the job is: An upper level position with advancement opportunities requiring physical labor, project management skills and excellent communication on job sites. Managing and motivating a crew of subordinates -- organize, plan and prioritize work needing to be done Obtaining information on the job: reading blueprints, reading tape measure, understanding specifications, understanding work orders Maintaining a safe working environment -- ensure all subordinates wear PPE Experience with operating construction equipment: forklifts, skid steers, bucket trucks Experience maintaining and repairing equipment on site Communicating with DOT officials, subcontractors, general superintendents Job site housekeeping: manual labor, general material handling, tool/truck organizing Basic understanding of carpentry: building forms, etc Basic understanding of concrete: scheduling trucks, pouring foundations Submitting weekly paperwork to superiors:. timesheets, safety checklists What the benefits are: This is a full time position with benefits; Hourly wage of $17-$19/hour plus annual raises.
