Press release from the City of Minneapolis: June 16, 2021 Minneapolis City government offices including Minneapolis 311 are closed Friday, June 18, in observance of the Saturday Juneteenth holiday. City offices resume regular business hours on Monday, June 21. There are no changes to City garbage and recycling pick-up schedules and there will be regular pickups June 18. Also, the South Transfer Station is open normal hours June 18. However, the Solid Waste and recycling customer service office and information line is closed Friday, June 18. The City's metered parking spaces are enforced June 18, but will not be Saturday, June 19. Other metered parking restrictions in Minneapolis may be in effect and subject to enforcement, including Park Board, University of Minnesota and private organizations that operate their own meters. Always read the information posted on the meter to be certain. Minneapolis police and fire emergency services and 911 are not affected. This press release was produced by the City of Minneapolis.
