Glendora Unified Offering Free Summer Meals

GLENDORA, CA — While the regular school year may be over the Glendora Unified School District will continue to feed children through the end of June. The district will distribute free meals to students enrolled in summer school through the end of June 30, according to GUSD officials. Seven-day breakfasts and lunches will be handed out at each school site currently open for summer school. Free and reduced meal applications will not be required to take part in the free meals service, officials said. Elementary schools will have chilled or frozen take-home meals while Sandburg Middle School, Glendora High School and Williams Day Camp/Tiny Tartans will offer ready-to-eat meals. The Williams Educational Center will provide breakfasts that can be eaten on campus and chilled or frozen lunches to take home. For students not in summer school or other Glendora residents under the age of 18, free take-home meals will be available for curbside pickup at Glendora High School from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Wednesday meals include extra fruits and vegetables, according to the district. Visit Glendora Unified's website for more information about the free summer meals service.
