Director of Communications - St. Patrick Parish, Yorkville, IL The Director of Communications at St. Patrick is responsible for the quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of internal and external communications for the parish and leads the Communication Team. The goal of this position is to bring to life through communications our parish vision of transforming lives in Christ by making church matter, building disciples, and seeking and saving the lost. Communication Team St. Patrick ’s Communication Team works together to provide consistent and engaging messaging across many media channels both internally to parishioners and guests, and externally to our broader community. General Responsibilities • Conduct a communications assessment in order to develop, implement, and oversee the parish strategic communications plan, including policies and processes for both internal and external communication. • Serve as the parish brand manager. • Utilize available media to write and share stories about how our church is impacting the parish and community. • Help to develop the strategic message for homilies. • Have active participation in the St. Patrick community as well as establishing and maintaining relational connections within the greater Yorkville community. Must-Haves • Advanced computer skills and a proactive adoption to new technology • Previous communication management experience • Attention to detail and design • Strong working knowledge of available and emerging communication channels • Model Christian character at home, work and social life • Ability to build teams and collaborate effectively with Ministry Leaders Nice-to-Haves • Degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field • General graphic design skills Please send cover letter and resume to [email protected]
