Manhattan DA has had them for a while and a grand jury has likely found enough evidence for indictments to be filed which are probably sealed at the moment. Trump knows he's circling the drain and no one is going to throw him a life preserver. All the people he's been blackmailing for years aren't in a position to help him now. He's on his own and will be going to prison soon. His only remaining hope is that Putin negotiates a trade of some type and Trump is allowed to escape to Russia. They'd make it look like Trump fled from an unjust process, blah, blah, blah, and he'd claim the system was rigged against him just like he always does. Yawn. Putin may not want him in Russia though stirring up shit. So it may be a 3rd country involved that takes him.
