Press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Joni Money June 17, 2021 Shortly after 11:00 PM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to a location near the intersection of Gary Avenue and 49th Street in Fairfield to investigate a person who had been shot.  They arrived at the scene to find a 27 year old male lying in the roadway.  He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
