DRUMMER WANTED for working cover band. Paid. Drummers! We know you’re out there! Pounding your skins for pittance! Are you ready to step up to a working cover band that will pay you what you’re worth and expect you to bring your best to every performance?! With management backing, this band does hundreds of shows a year (from pubs to private parties, corporate events, festivals and weddings), and you would be coming into the org as a sub, and gaining more work as per your availability. The more availability, the more work. The band is a cut above the average California cover band – so we are PAID a cut above – and so we expect YOU to be a cut above… Most of the shows are in the Orange County area (about 1 hour from Disneyland in any direction), but there are shows all the way from Bakersfield to San Diego. You must: > have your own transport and gear (duh! -- but it has to be said!) > be able to work with click tracks (you will be provided all the necessary tracks and a laptop with all the songs in order) > have a basic drum kit, and NOT an expansive metal hair-band kit > work within the band’s performance protocols, meaning that even as the drummer, you would participate in minimal choreography, unique costuming, and many show elements that you would absorb into your performance.
