Description
I am seeking fun, open-minded musicians to help execute my grandiose visions for a psychedelic showband/cult.
I hope to be rehearsing in some form by the end of the Summer, and have some gigs by the end of the year.
The projected line-up is:
guitar/synth (me)
banjo
mallets
bass
TRUMPETS (2)
BARITONE SAX
TENOR SAX
ELECTRONIC PERCUSSIONISTS (finger drummers, electronic kits, live Ableton operators, etc etc): Looking for 2 or 3 of these and ideally one of these will do double duty on extra keyboards)
***I am currently seeking the positions noted in ALL CAPS.***
Reading music is very helpful (there will be charts) ….but, except for horns, not a requirement. If you can sing some, that's always a plus, though most of the material is instrumental.
All ages/genders/races/creeds etc very welcome.
What we will be doing may resemble the references cited in the list below…or it might not; but if this rogues' gallery piques your interest, that's encouraging. As you may have inferred, this will be a visual and theatrical spectacular as well as a musical one, so you need to be cool with outlandish outfits and the occasional dance step, to start with.
