Land Surveying Technician #21-363 Apply here: Requirements Minimum Requirements: • High School graduation or GED preferred • Valid driver’s license • Previous experience preferred but not required. Technical Requirements: • Experience with Carlson or Leica data collectors is a preferred not required. Other miscellaneous qualities: • Travel required Varies from overnight to a week at a time. Location Atlas-Gainsville, GA External Description Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Instrument operators are a valuable part of a survey crew – they must use many tools in their position. These include but are not limited to data collectors, total stations, tripods, computers, machetes. Instrument operators will assist the crew chief in all tasks required to complete a land survey of a piece of property. Survey instrument operators help collect data, will learn to interpret plans and may learn GIS systems. This position could require out of town work. The position requires standing and walking all day over varied terrain and in all in seasons (hot and cold weather). Survey IP must carry survey equipment (up to 40 pounds) and use tools such as a machete to clear lines. Strong technical and math skills preferred. Previous experience in land survey preferred.
