Position Title: Warehouse Worker Department: Warehouse Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Review: Yearly Job Purpose: To ensure that all deliveries are received properly, deliver notices to package recipients, follow good documentation practices, keep warehouse clean and organized, inventory control, and always follow Good Manufacturing practices. Job Duties: Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Wears adequate protective garments when necessary. Unloads merchandise from trucks when needed, follows good documentation practices by filling out delivery logbook. Verifies delivery paperwork is correct and merchandise is acceptable, if any discrepancies contact Production Manager and/or Purchasing. Receives product properly by using appropriate forms and records in all applicable logbooks. Operate the forklift and scissor lift when required always keeping safety as a priority. Stock and store raw and packaging material in appropriate areas in a safe and tidy manner. Complete daily cleaning chores. Facilitate Deliveries. Skills/Qualifications: High-school diploma. Knowledge of and Certification for operating a forklift. Good driving record/drivers license. Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort: - Job requires standing up for long periods of time. - Bending and stooping: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. - Moderate carrying/lifting: physically transporting, raising items from a lower to a higher position, or moving objects horizontally weighing up to but perhaps more than 45 pounds from one location to another. - Reaching above shoulder: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Repetitive motion: substantial movements of wrists, hands, fingers, and /or upper body for sustained periods of time, including using extremities to drag, push, pull or grasp. - Walking: moving about on foot, particularly for long distances. - Hearing requirement: able to detect specific noises, proper equipment operation.
