Babies and parents needed to help PA medical Students
Events
Mesa AZ
Description
Want to have fun with your kiddos and make a little extra money? I work at A.T. Still University in Mesa off of Baseline and Recker. The PA students have a Pediatric event scheduled for Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021. The time commitment would be from 8:20 am – 12:15 pm. You and your child(ren) would have a break from 10:00 - 10:45 am. (We ask that you stay on campus though) As always, your child(ren) is the boss of the encounter and if they need a bathroom break, diaper change, etc. you absolutely can take it as needed. I am currently casting children ages 3 months - 4 years for this educational experience. Your child(ren) will be interacting with a small group of students in a large group room which will be divided into small groups (approximately 4-5) 1st year PA students and one facilitator (PA). The students will interact with your child(ren) and perform multiple well child examinations (noninvasive) with you at their side the entire time. They will see two different groups of students during the event. If your child has severe anxiety when it comes to strangers this is probably not the event for them. This event will pay $100.00 regardless of the number of children that attend with you. This will come in the form of a check that will be mailed to you or via direct deposit if you are an existing employee. You will remain in the room with your child(ren) the entire time. Non employees will be required to complete a Form W-9. All participants will need to sign a consent form for their child(ren) to participate. Please note that participants with an infant and a toddler will receive priority casting due to the need to keep our numbers at each station as low as possible. (COVID occupancy totals) Ideally, one parent per infant & toddler combo at a station. With heightened precautions due to COVID-19, all students and instructors will be wearing masks. Additionally, parent participants will be required to complete a self-certification questionnaire, have their temperature checked upon entering the building and wear a mask. Per CDC guidelines, we also ask that children age 2 and over wear a mask as well. Once in your exam station, should you and your child feel comfortable, they may remove their mask for the examination. Adults must keep their masks on at all times. Exam tables will be covered and proper cleaning methods will be ongoing throughout the event. You may bring your own toys for your child to play with during this session. We will not be placing communal toys out this year. The event will take place on campus, in the 5850 building. If you are interested and available, please email me along with your child(ren’s) ages at: . Remember that you have not been confirmed to participate unless you receive an email stating so. Feel free to pass this information along to anyone else who may be interested as well. I will remove the posting when the openings have all been filled. Feel free to contact me at with any questions. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Lisa
