The Samara Company is a full service commercial landscaping team. We maintain lawns, irrigation systems, soil nutrients, and trees. We also help customers to remodel or expand their landscapes. We’re looking for a great person with a background in irrigation and a desire to grow. For such a person we have a full-time, year-round position with lots of opportunities for training and progression. Check out the description below. Needed Skills – Two years of experience applying fertilizer Utah commercial applicator’s license – turf and ornamental Driver’s license and a reasonable driving record Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors 8-10 hours per day Professional appearance Excellent written and spoken communication skills Able to independently solve problems and manage priorities Able to understand product labels and mix accordingly Able to identify common insects and plant pathogens Helpful Skills - Additional applicator endorsements Experience managing phragmites and native species Experience with tree and shrub management Spoken or written Spanish Understanding of advanced industry related math Technical training in horticulture or related fields Understanding of soil science and ability to interpret nutrient analysis The Job - Diagnose nutrient and disease issues in the landscape Develop solutions, estimate costs, and move forward Safely apply scheduled fertilizers and pesticides Keep detailed records of your work.
