Trying to bring back the Amtrak Pioneer

A petition to bring the Amtrak Pioneer back to the Pacific Northwest is underway. The petition states that locals in the Pacific Northwest want the Pioneer route to come back, and to stretch from Portland, OR, to Denver CO. This might sound like a pipe dream, but Amtrak has been effectively turning itself around, and is looking at Regional routes as the future of Amtrak. At the beginning of the year, they unveiled a map of new plausible routes, but the Pioneer was not on their map. It should be though, so let's get the message to Amtrak! Starting in Portland OR, and acting as an express to Boise ID, and Ogden UT, this train route could gather a lot of passengers.. However, Amtrak cannot do a feasibility study on every regional route in America, and the possible ones. They'll go where the interest is loudest. So let's give Amtrak a heads up to come back. The Pioneer could help strengthen major parts of Idaho's economy in areas like, Boise and Pocatello. With enough signatures, I will personally do my best to deliver them to the leaders of Amtrak, as well as major publications in the local area.
