-TEXAS NATIONAL GUARD: Our purpose and mission is to come to the aid of our state and fellow Texans in the time of need. We react to Natural Disasters and any circumstance the Governor of Texas and or the President of the United states deems necessary i.e. Riot Control, Wild Fires, Border Security and much more. This is a great way to get college paid for, experience, money in the bank, and last but not at all least, a great way to help in your community when disaster strikes!! -HOW WE WORK: Those who meet our minimum requirements will then take our written exam(ASVAB), and based on how well you do on that, u will then pick the job skill you want to be trained in. A few of the many fields you can choose from are; Legal field, IT, Infantry, Engineering, Intelligence, Communications, Human Resources, Aviation, Mechanical, Medical, Transportation and many more. After you pick your job, you will then have to pass a physical examination. Once you go to training, you will then be paid anywhere between 1,600 dollars to 3,400 dollars/ month while in training(6 months on average). Once your initial training is complete, you will then return home at which point your minimum obligation to us is to train one weekend a month and two weeks during the summer, local to where you live, in order to maintain your training, in the event we are called to react to a natural disaster. At that point you are able to maintain both a civilian and military career. WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN: Aside from the 1,600 to 3,400 dollars /month during training previously mentioned, you also have the opportunity to qualify for up to a $12,500 dollar signing bonus, and or up to 50,000 dollars of CURRENT STUDENT LOANS to be paid off by us. Once you complete training, you will also be intitled to up to 18,000 dollars/ year for college tuition to be paid by us.
