Construction Testing Technician (Chantilly) A highly respected engineering firm, in Chantilly, VA is seeking technicians for our Specialty Services Group. The successful candidate will join our team in a fast-paced and challenging environment where client's expectations are exceeded, and problems are solved on a daily basis. All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent (minimum) and be able to pass a background check for access to secure work sites. Ideally, candidates will have at least 2 years of construction related and/or testing experience, have good mechanical skills, basic carpentry skills and have the ability to work with their hands, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate in English. Though the type of work varies, typical work involves: Destructive and non-destructive investigations. Performing concrete, asphalt and masonry sawing, core drilling and demolition. Using hand tools including operating electric, pneumatic and powder actuated tools. Using ground penetrating radar (GPR). A technician is also expected to be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds a number of times each day. Pay starts at $18/hour, increases with experience.
