SUMMARY: BuildStable is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our small but growing team. This individual will be responsible for both routine and urgent maintenance of several commercial building spaces, including restaurants and offices. This person must have the technical knowledge required to independently perform a variety of tasks and troubleshoot on the fly, and the communication and organization skills to efficiently coordinate with the administrative team. This job can be physically demanding and is perfect for someone who enjoys doing something different each day. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Routine maintenance: graffiti removal, power washing, drywall repair, painting, etc. - Urgent maintenance: diagnosis and repair of basic plumbing and electrical problems, repair broken windows and doors, etc. - Ongoing janitorial maintenance: ensure common areas, landscaping and parking areas are kept in clean and safe condition. - Seasonal outdoor maintenance: leaf removal, snow and ice removal, and other minor landscaping duties. - Minor construction projects: drywall, basic woodworking, etc. - Operate forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack as needed. - Move furniture and equipment as needed. - Ensure that all repairs are handled in a timely and appropriate manner, in compliance with OSHA regulations. - Watch for and report building irregularities, such as property damage, fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. - Use app to track and monitor maintenance requests. - Purchase items needed for small repairs at local hardware stores, and submit receipts via Expensify to ensure accurate cost tracking. - Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation of work completed. QUALIFICATIONS: - 5 years experience performing a variety of the tasks required for this position. - Knowledge of building systems, alarms, and preventative maintenance. - Possess strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. - Commitment to excellent customer service and representing the company in a professional manner at all times. - Be able to work with minimal supervision. - Have a valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance. - Have a basic set of hand and electric tools. COMPENSATION: - $45k - $55k - Benefits include medical, dental, and vision
