McDevitt Trucks, Inc., a heavy duty truck dealership has an immediate need for a Parts Counterperson to work in its busy Parts Department to assist our customers in identifying and purchasing parts from the dealership. Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm and Rotating Saturdays DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greet customers timely in a friendly and professional manner • Maintain a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance • Handle ALL in-person and telephone inquiries and orders in a professional manner • Use of computer programs; in house business system and OEM programs along with vendor programs • Participate in OEM training • Maintain neat retail display area and keep well stocked and priced • Assist customers with mechanical questions to best assess their parts needs; up sell whenever possible • Pick parts for counter sales • Process credit orders through billing system • Perform cashier function for cash sales • Provide Saturday coverage as scheduled • Advise Parts Manager of chronic back order situation • Process customer's merchandise returns • Notify Parts Manager when customer exceeds established credit limit • Wear required company uniform • Other various projects assigned by manager.
