Oiiiiii Reggae bassie available for PAYING gigs I would like to maybe start this out as a hired gun situation, and if the vibe is right we can talk about becoming a full-fledged member. I'm into OG 60's SKA/Rocksteady, 2-Tone, Roots, and Dub. Not so much into that Cali-Reggae sound, but if you guys sound dope I could be persuaded to try it out. Think: Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, Don Carlos, Barrington Levy, Desmond Dekker, Jimmy Cliff, Eek A Mouse, Tommy McCook, Josey Wales, Aswad, Specials, Israel Vibration, Jacob Miller etc I have a 4-string Bass and a really solid tone. Not interested in 5-String playing. I do want to mention that my background isn't really as a musician, so I am at the sort of beginner/intermediate stage. Meaning I don't have all the OG riddims memorized or anything like that. However, I engineered and produced for a long time, so I'm picking it up quite quickly, and I'm successfully playing for a band in OC at the moment. I'm only sitting in for them at the moment, and I have no immediate plans to join them full-time as of the time of this writing. I have rock-solid timing, good stage presence, and some smart clobber to wear on stage. Let's jam!
