General Labor Technician Position Farmacopia is a startup and licensed cannabis brand specializing in genetics, nursery and cultivation operations, licensing and consulting services across both licensed plant touching and non-plant touching companies. Located in Northridge, CA, our culture is fast paced, customer centric and innovative; executed in a fun, team-based environment. We are seeking General Laborers for our Northridge, CA location. The successful individual will be able to perform assigned operations and tasks safely and efficiently in a production environment. This position will interact with employees, managers, and regulatory representatives. In every case, the General Laborer Technician must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to) • Clone Cutting • Clone Care • Clone Packaging • Lab & Extraction Assistance • General Nursery Assistance • Managing logistics of warehouse with fluctuating workload. • Maintain a clean and organized workstation. • Safety and compliance with all relevant regulations. • Collaborates with and provides support to nursery staff within a production environment. • Always follow standard operating procedures in a safe and compliant manner. • Maintain a clean area upon completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. • Report for and successfully complete all training as required. • Immediately address housekeeping issues and other maintenance needs. • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management. Competencies: • Customer Focus • Reliability • Honesty • Commitment to Safety • Exceptional Communication Skills • Decision Making • Inventory Management. • Excellent judgement and work ethic • Professionalism, patience, and process driven approach • Adaptability • Low ego • High attention to detail • Can-do attitude • Team player • Professional appearance • Tech savviness REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Must be 21 years old per state regulations and pass a criminal background check. • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. • Must be willing to work in Northridge, California and be able to travel at a moment’s notice without any travel restrictions. • Agriculture/horticulture or cannabis experience is a plus. • Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus. • Strong logistics experience is a plus. • Experience using Metrc software is a plus. • Proficiency is using Google docs is a plus. • Experience in inventory management is a plus. • Must be PC literate. • Ability to utilize web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks. • Must be able to pay close attention to details. • Able to speak and understand English. • Able to speak and communicate proficiently. • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction). • Able to follow instructions. • Able to pay close attention to details. • Pleasant demeanor with other employees, customers, vendors, and regulators • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. • Quickly adapt to changing business demands. • Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, and protocols. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and product. • Excellent vision and hearing are required. • This position requires prolonged standing (up to 8 hours) and some bending, stooping, sitting, and stretching for extended periods of time while maintaining focus - some movement may be repetitive. • Work is performed in a fast-paced cannabis grow location and is subject to weather conditions, including rain and hot or cold temperatures. Work Schedule • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt). • Hours: 9am – 5:30pm (8-hour shifts). • Potential for some overtime/weekends/and holidays. • Must have open availability. • Must have reliable transportation.
