Join Columbus Gives Back and Brightside Academy in helping set up this community event honoring dad's and promoting family health + wellness Columbus Gives Back is looking for volunteers like you to help our newest friends from Brightside Academy (this is our first event together) for their Proud Dad's Cookout! What: This shift is dedicated to helping with set-up! When:  Saturday, June 19th, 2021, 10AM- 1PM (check out our second activity shift from 12pm-3pm here) Event Leaders: [email protected] Where: Brightside Academy, 1977 Cleveland Ave. Columbus, OH 43211 COVID-19 Precautions: Masks are no longer required at outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. In an effort to keep our volunteers, event leaders, and non-profit partners safe: Volunteers who are sick, especially with fever or the growing number of Covid-19 symptoms, should stay home. We highly recommend that our volunteers wash their hands, use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the event, and/or wear gloves. We will follow whatever safety policy our nonprofit partners have in addition to the safety precautions listed above. Any volunteers determined to neglect these precautions and put other volunteers or the people we serve at risk will be dismissed from the event. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
