Hello, I am seeking donations of instruments for a new music therapy program at a public hospital in Brooklyn. This is a program for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health issues. Interactive musical play is used to help the patients cope with being in the hospital, as well as learn new ways to socialize, communicate, and express themselves. We are already pretty set with guitars and have some percussion. Mostly seeking percussion instruments: tambourines, hand drums, djembe, conga, bongos, egg shakers, etc. Ukulele Xylophone Resonator bells Melodic bells Small keyboard Electronic music instruments If you have anything you would like to donate, please reach out and we can coordinate a pick-up or drop-off. *There are some items we will not be able to accept at the hospital at this time due to reasons of either infection control and/or safety.
