Juneteenth-Celebration Of Freedom ; Educate, Empower, Entertain.
Juneteenth is celebrated and memorialized in the black community because, it is OUR day of freedom. June 19th 1865, 250,000 slaves were freed by Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas.
Although we are still far from 100% free, this day is still a celebration of one step closer. Our fight continues, but on this day we:
Celebrate the freedom of our ancestors.
Educate our youth.
Support our black owned businesses. Pop-Up Shop
Love our brothers and sisters.
