Description

Slow Money NC & WEBB Squared, Wealth through Entrepreneurship for Black Businesses, will showcase businesses seeking local financing. Since 2010, Slow Money NC has helped ~150 farmers and local food businesses in NC find financing from friends, relatives, neighbors & people in the Slow Money network for various projects not easily financed by banks and other traditional sources. Usually these were low-interest loans, sometimes it was a gift, or occasionally equity. Come meet up with folks interested in supporting local farming and food businesses - and learn how we can better make sure they survive and thrive. We are excited to be collaborating with the newly formed WEBB Squared, an organization "committed to recognizing and correcting the racial wealth gap by providing a supportive ecosystem around Black entrepreneurs." Here's the plan: 6:30pm Slow Start - re-connect with the Slow Money NC family, and welcome newcomers. 6:45pm Welcome and brief intro to Slow Money NC & WEBB Squared 7:00pm Presentations ( a few more may be confirmed by Monday) • Brandon Christian, PORE People - "an ultra pure premium plant based clinical multicultural skincare range.
