FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was arrested Monday after police said he forced two men to drive him around the Upper Caper while armed with a gun and a knife.
Elangwa A. Shaidi, 36, of East Falmouth, was charged with two counts of armed kidnapping and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
The incident was reported to police just before noon. Police said the victims came to the police station and reported Shaidi approached the two men and forced them to drive him to various locations in Falmouth and Bourne. The victims told officers Shaidi was armed with a gun and a knife, according to police.
The investigation led police and a K-9 team from the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office to a campsite in the area of Spring Bars Road. Officers found and arrested Shaidi there without incident.
Shaidi was ordered held on $15,000 bail.
