The University Club of San Francisco, founded in 1890, is a private social club and boutique hotel located on Nob Hill in San Francisco. We have an immediate opening for a guest-focused Housekeeper. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Club's hotel rooms and general facilities. Qualifications and Requirements: House Staff experience working in a building, hotel, event center, or private club. • Ability to work with and without supervision. • Attentive to detail. • Ability to learn, work effectively with others, and remain flexible in a high-performing environment. • English (verbal and written communication) • Punctual and reliable Essential Duties: ● Stocks Room Attendant’s cart and cleaning hand caddy. ● Participates in maintaining inventory controls for cleaning products, linens, and amenities. ● Cleans guest rooms, club building, and athletic facility. ● Disinfect all high and low contact areas. ● Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors. ● Vacuum clean carpets, rugs, and draperies. ● Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery on a cycle - when needed. ● Dust and polish furniture and fittings. ● Clean metal fixtures and fittings. ● Empty and clean trash containers. ● Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner. ● Disinfect and clean washbasins, mirrors, tubs, and showers. ● Disinfect and clean toilets, urinals, and stalls. ● Wipe down glass surfaces. ● Makeup beds and change linens. ● Clean rooms for newly arriving guests and tidy up rooms for stayovers. ● Wash windows as scheduled. ● Linen - sort, inspect for damage, put away, and aid with maintaining linen inventory. ● Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition. ● Provide routine inspection of guest rooms and facilities for repairs needed, and report necessary repairs and replacements accordingly. ● Works to become a part of the club's mission and operational plan while being in service to the club members, club offerings, guest rooms, and event space. Job Knowledge: ● Knowledgeable about maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a wide variety of surfaces. Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
