Join us to learn and share ideas about how a CDC can serve in the development of the Pierre Moran Tolson neighborhoods. Mayor Roberson's Elkhart THRIVE 2040 economic development plan includes establishing a CDC (Community Development Corporation) in the Pierre Moran Tolson area neighborhoods. Why a CDC for Elkhart? The vision is to establish a a CDC (501c3) that serves to progressively develop the Pierre Moran Tolson area residents and small businesses with quality affordable housing, commerce areas, and quality of place projects that are community planned and funded for complete neighborhood success, including supporting neighborhood opportunity hub locations and programs. The Facilitator Dennis West has been a CDC leader and well-known CDC advisor and has been engaged via the City's THRIVE initiative to assist with exploring the establishment of CDCs to serve as an important role in neighborhood development.
