LONE TREE, CO — Two people and a dog died Wednesday in a plane crash east of Lone Tree, fire officials said.
The aircraft hit an electrical line and went down near South Peoria Street and Ridgegate Parkway, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. A plume of black smoke was seen from miles away in the area.
The crash caused a bush fire and downed power lines, but as of 2:30 p.m., the bush fire was under control, the agency said. No homes were under threat.
