LEONIA, NJ — A kidnapping suspect died after being shot in a confrontation with law enforcement Wednesday, according to authorities. The kidnapping victim was safely recovered and there are no furthers threats to the community, Spokesperson for the FBI Patricia Hartman said. The incident happened at the end of a joint investigation by FBI Newark and Philadelphia Field Offices, Hartman said. At publication there was no information on the duration of the investigation, identity of the kidnapper or kidnapping victim.
