Almonte Spa is currently seeking experienced and professional certified massage therapists to join our team. We are expanding our hours and will be providing services daily from 11am - 9pm. Almonte Spa is beautifully situated off the beaten path in Mill Valley. Exemplary customer service with an emphasis on retaining client relations is paramount.As a massage therapist at Almonte Spa, you will be responsible for treating our clients through massage while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience. You should be good at perceiving our client’s wishes and needs through spoken language, body language and other cues and modifying their treatments accordingly. Additionally we provide Hot Tubs and Saunas, so non-sensitivity to chlorine or scents is essential. Massage therapists report to the Spa Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide 60, 75 and 90 minute massages to clients by appointmentBe able to perform 4-5 massages per shiftEvaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the bodySuggest future massage appointments and regime to clientsListen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desireAbility to work outside in our beautiful cabana during the dry seasonSkills and Qualifications:Fully vaccinated against COVID-19Minimum of two years working in a spaCompleted at least 500 hours of massage therapy coursesMust hold a current massage therapy certificationMust carry liability insuranceStrong interpersonal communication skillsTime management abilities and adherence to scheduleFollow strict safety protocolsAbility to provide Swedish, Deep Tissue and PreNatal massage (other modalities are a plus)Demonstrated customer service skillsGood energy and positive vibes are keyWhat We Offer:Competitive and above average pay structure of hourly + commission (averages $40/hr during massage time + minimum wage in non productive hours)Fun colleagues and clients (extremely chill vibes)W2 statusService and retail discounts
