Interior Designer/Materials Coordinator Americraft/Sterling Studio An award-winning premier home remodeling company in Downers Grove is seeking an energetic, diligent, detail-oriented and well-organized individual who wants to pursue a career in the home remodeling business. This position reports directly to the owner and business director, and works in conjunction with our project manager, material vendors, and clients. This is a great position for a newly graduated interior designer to break into the remodeling industry and put the skills they learned in school to good use! Job responsibilities: Learn to utilize the 2020 Design software with several cabinet lines to layout, specify and price cabinets for customer projects Assist Senior Interior designer with clients Order and coordinate deliveries of home construction materials, such as kitchen cabinets, tile, countertops, cabinet hardware, plumbing, appliances, etc. Coordinate with team regarding client selections and approvals Track orders and coordinate delivery dates with the project manager and vendors Be the liaison between our clients and our team Participate and engage in weekly staff meetings to update all parties on project progress Follow up with previous clients for punch list items or warranty issues Estimate construction materials for potential new home remodeling projects Assemble permit documentation for client projects based on their municipality Greet customers that walk into the showroom Maintain the showroom appearance Use product and remodeling knowledge to inform walk-in customers of our services and materials Follow-up on prospective customer leads and convert the leads into sales. Skills required: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Windows, and Outlook Knowledge in Kitchen and Bath Design a plus Cabinetry knowledge and proficiency in 20/20 a plus. Some retail sales experience a plus Some experience or knowledge of the remodeling industry is helpful but not necessary. On the job training will be provided.
