Hey you, Ithaca-based musician here, looking to connect with other musicians to form a new band. About me: fully equipped guitarist who has been in many cover and original bands since childhood in Latin America. Styles include: classical/progressive/indie/post rock, heavy/progressive metal, cumbia, indie pop, Latin American folk, and trova. Bands I've covered: RHCP, Audioslave, RATM, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and many, many others. The goal is to bring together our need for creating music, along with our favorite influences, and craft something brand new by jamming and connecting through music. Lyrics are important; bring some if you'd like! I personally love concept albums with beautiful metaphors and/or delivering music with social content. Instrumental music is also fun and I'm open to that too. With live shows reopening, I'd also like to bring acoustic shows to local bars. If you're a singer-songwriter in need for musical support, you should DEFINITELY contact me. Finally, I'm also down for (good) cover bands--feel free to ask! This is open to all backgrounds, nationalities, and gender expressions. Initiative and commitment to meet up regularly are a must. I have a day time "job" (Cornell grad student), but I still devote time to music every day. Ideally, we'd like to perform live whenever local venues allow for it, and go from there.
