Vocalist for dark melancholy rock

I've tried with a few different people and can't find quite the right person or people who 'gets it' when it comes to the atmosphere I'm going for. Part acoustic rock, part melancholy, influenced by everything from 80s synthpop to 90s black metal. All originals, many songs written already. Just need to find the right person or people to bring them to life. I'd like to find a singer to start and perhaps play out at some open mic nights to see what the reception is. These songs are near and dear to my heart, but they need the right person to help me realize them in a live setting. If you like music that focuses on channeling sad and bleak feelings, that's what I'm going for, and I'd love to hear from you.
