With candid communication we endeavor to minimize conflict during stressful projects, to better navigate a client’s ambitious goals and to complete our work to the satisfaction of all parties in the process.   What we do: Ideate Design-Build is a team of educated and experienced industry professionals who specialize in HOA reconstruction projects. Our company has maintained a general contracting license since 1995 and its principal architect has been a California licensed architect since 2005.  Ideate is primarily focused on performing reconstruction work as necessitated by age, deferred maintenance, or construction defect within multi-family or commercial associations. The firm also performs single-family residential construction, tenant improvement work, assessment surveys and reports, prioritization analysis, construction cost estimating, and forensic services.   About you: We are seeking a highly skilled Working Field Captain (Foreman), with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the desire to provide a high level of customer service to our discerning clients. We are looking for somebody with strong leadership skills, a willingness to mentor team members, who takes pride in the success of their team.   Minimum Requirements: Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen onsite quickly and amicably  Construction background, with a minimum experience of 5 years working in the California building industry Specialized skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, waterproofing, etc. Ability to operate hand and power tools of all types Ability to navigate and understand construction drawings Knowledgeable of safety codes and OSHA requirements Reliable transportation to drive to different jobsite locations Must have all standard trade tools to perform work   Expectations: Professional and personable demeanor capable of maintaining constructive relationships Effective communication with an ability to listen with management, consultants, subcontractors, in-house architecture team and clients. Capacity to ask questions, take directions and request guidance Must be successful working in team environments Be willing to work in a fast-paced environment where a variety of tasks may be asked of you in any day Strong organizational skills on the jobsite Ability to follow through with tasks, to communicate project specifics and to update management Manage time effectively by prioritizing and projecting for the future Self-starter and motivated to work hard Take responsibility for the outcome of your assignments   Tasks: Travel to different job sites to perform skilled construction tasks Ensure the work is fully executed and complies with the scope of work Follow safe operations of tools, equipment and materials, while maintaining a safe and clean jobsite.
