Rehoming Male Husky

Description

Hello 👋 I have a 2 yr old male husky available for adoption. We found him on the North side of Peavine and after his owners didn't claim him from the shelter we decided to adopt him. We've had him since March 30th. We love him lots but after spending time with him we've realized our family may not be the best fit for him. Overall he's a very good dog. He's potty trained, he's good with non reactive cats, and he's crate trained. We were working on leash training and there's been progress. He can also sit and lay down if the treat is worth it. He's incredibly smart! He's not a super hyper dog. He's good with a 2 mile walk in the morning and he'll pretty much lounge around the rest of the day. He's very playful and loves tug a war. Areas that need to be worked on.... I think he would do best in a home with teenagers or adults. He's pretty protective over certain treats and has been mouthy with my 6 yr old. He does have a high-pray drive and will not do well with rodents or birds. I think he'd do best in a home with other medium or large dogs that also like to play rough. He's a bit too much for my 8-year-old German Shepherd to handle and I can tell she's no longer enjoying his company. He doesn't play aggressively just too excited and rough. Also, like most huskies he loves to roam and will get out of your house or backyard any chance he gets. I know I could return him to the shelter but I'd rather him not have to spend any more nights there if possible. Please let me know if you're interested and if you'd make a good fit for Yuba. There is a rehoming fee. Thank you!!
