Mechanical Metal Finishing Co. has an URGENT opening for a full time Local Truck Driver. Position: Local Truck Driver (Ford F550 stake bed truck driver) Compensation: Negotiable Day Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (opportunity for overtime) Benefits: After 90 continuous days, employment employees are eligible for: • Paid Healthcare • Paid Holidays • Paid Vacation • After 1 year, 401k participation is available. Requirements: Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. • 6 months logistics, retail, or customer service experience. • Prior driving and warehouse experience. • Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date. • Must pass a physical and drug test. • Ability to speak and write English fluently (bilingual in Spanish preferred). • Must be able to load and unload trucks (lift 50 lbs). • Good customer service skills, good character, pleasant attitude. • Must be at least 18 years or older. • Must have a valid CA driver's license. Qualifications/Skills: • Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing orders and materials. • Receiving, stocking, and stacking. • Pulling, packing, and loading. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Strong sense of time organization and urgency. • Able to work independently and within a team. • Self motivated, must have a "can do" attitude. Responsibilities: • Delivers pallets, boxes, pans, etc around the LA/OC area. • Identify which orders belong to you and create a daily route. • Load up your own truck every morning. • Receives in orders that were picked up (piece/container count and tags orders). • Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready truck cabin and bed. • Wrapping pallets and packaging outgoing orders (ensuring proper packaging requirements). • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries. • Maintains an accurate driver's trip report. • Engages with vendors and customers with a positive attitude (remember you are the face of the company when delivering/picking up from customers). • Provides additional backup support for Shipping/Receiving and Production departments. • Being on time and showing up every day is important (at times, you will need to come in early when there are a lot of routes scheduled.)
