The HVAC Helper position assists in the maintenance and repair of residential, commercial, HVAC systems. Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and related components (filter and belt replacements, electrical readings, amp draw readings, greasing bearings and mechanical components, evaporator and condenser coil cleanings, etc.) Assists Mechanics with maintenance responsibilities; providing tools and parts necessary to repair HVAC systems. Provides critical field information to other HVAC mechanics and technicians -to facilitate repairs and troubleshooting of systems. Required Qualifications * Experience in the safe use of HVAC tools and hand tools * Ability to climb ladders, work over-head, maneuver in tight and confined spaces * Must be able to work in extreme environments (summer heat and winter cold) * Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
