Description
We’re a band based in Monument, playing covers and a handful of good originals. Our repertoire consists of a mix of traditional, modern and red dirt country with some Southern rock and classic rock tossed in. Ballads and rockers (primarily rockers—after all, it’s our job to get and keep folks drinking and dancing).
Our singer (and chief songwriter) is planning to retire and move away in a few months, so we’re looking to fill his considerable shoes. In this role, your main skills should be strong vocal ability (loud, broad tenor range and near-perfect pitch) and the ability to work a crowd. No shoe-gazers or over-sensitive crooner types.
At this stage we’d prefer a (biological) male. Age isn’t a major issue, though we’d like someone with substantial life and professional experience. Ability to play an instrument (e.g. acoustic guitar) is a big plus, but not a deal-breaker. Songwriting ability isn’t required, but would be welcomed, appreciated and discussed.
Contact me through the CL mail relay if interested, and be patient, as you aren’t the only star who has replied. IMPORTANT: Please be prepared to provide links to audio (or, better, video) material displaying your vocal ability—we can’t and won’t set up a live audition without this step. Sorry, we hope you understand.
