Selland Construction is seeking experienced equipment operators for dozer, motor grader, excavator, loader, scraper and working foreman. Seeking self starter individuals, willing to learn and strong work ethic. Position : Equipment Operator & Working Foreman Location: Wenatchee Category : Regular, Hourly Reports to : Job site Foreman/Superintendent Job Details: Our firm specializes in building road infrastructure, developments, and WSDOT road projects. We are seeking experienced operators with 2000 hours experience with operating large excavators, motor graders and dozers. Applicants must have the ability to comprehend detailed plans and the skill set to utilize heavy machinery to set subgrade and slopes. Skills and Requirements 1. Basic operating and maintenance knowledge of heavy equipment desired. Mechanical knowledge and experience desired. 2. Overtime required: during peak months, operating up to 11 hours plus each day. 3. Strong communication and teamwork with operators, mechanics, and supervisors. Critical for times when work hours do and do not overlap. 4. Self-motivated and able to work independently. 5. Excellent attendance and timeliness. 6. Excellent safety management and reliability to work unsupervised and alone at remote job sites. 7. Have a good attitude. Physical Requirements 1. Able to Operate Heavy Equipment Safely at all times. 2. Vision for reading and writing, to see clearly at all distances on construction sites, and at night. 3. Able to walk and climb around job sites and in and out of equipment where ground conditions and elevations are variable. Able to kneel, crouch, bend. 4. Able to work in extreme weather, hot and cold. 5. Physical strength to lift 60 pounds. Please reply by email with resume and references.
