Make-Ready/ Porter
Assist the Lead Service Technician in anticipating, identifying and correcting maintenance problems in order to protect the investment of the owners, maintain a safe environment, cultivate resident satisfaction, and to maintain and enhance the curb appeal of the property.
Work Schedule: Some holiday, weekend or overtime work may be required from
time to time.
Supervised By: Business Manager is the direct supervisor for this position. However, coordination and assignment of the daily tasks may be delegated by the Business Manager to the Lead Service Technician
and/or Assistant Business Manager.
Educational and Industry Experience Requirements: Must be able to read and write basic instructions in English. No “job hoppers”; described as job history where duration of employment was of less than one year with more than one company. Prior painting or make ready experience required. Must be knowledgeable of the safe use and maintenance of paint, chemicals and supplies. Have reliable transportation. Current driver’s license and
automobile insurance required if employee drives own vehicle to work.
Qualifications: Team player, able to take direction and has a positive attitude.
Daily Tasks: Carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by Lead Service Technician. Ensure vacant apartments are thoroughly restored to market-ready condition in a timely manner and according to the Business Manager’s timetable. Physically walk the community and remove litter, debris and pet
excrement from the grounds. Sweep clubhouse, pool areas and mailrooms. Rake, sweep, shovel and as needed. Remove cobwebs from building exteriors as needed.
