Pella Corporation is proud to be a privately held, professionally managed company. SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Maintenance Technician performs repairs to equipment, buildings, and facilities. Coordinates, arranges, or provides for the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair all electrical and mechanical problems in assigned area and have the flexibility to help in other areas of the plant when required. Position may require the scheduling of job orders. Other duties assigned by manager or lead as needed. Must successfully acquire a Forklift Operation Certificate through a training course. Must be willing to travel to other locations as necessary, by various modes of transportation including air. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and repair all electrical and mechanical problems in assigned area Identify machine malfunctions to prevent machine breakdown Ability to work with department managers to schedule work as needed Work with ladders and vertical-lifts Flexibility of work hours including mandatory overtime when business needs requires. Able to safely work with and around moving equipment. Ability to communicate in a concise, polite, and respectful manner with team members. Regular / dependable attendance consistent with attendance guidelines is required. Operate equipment/tools that require close control, adjustment, and following production orders. Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures. Ability to meet physical requirements of the job. Ability to learn and perform repetitive job tasks.
