Wastexpress is currently looking to hire a Hazardous Waste Technician Responsible for packaging and labelling wastes, operating a forklift to load and offload trucks and occasionally hauling items offsite for recycling in a company provided vehicle. The job can be physical at times and occurs in both an outdoor and indoor setting. Wastexpress offers competitive wages and benefits including: • Starting pay of $18/hr • Typical work week of Monday-Friday • Almost no weekend work • Very few nights spent in hotels away from home • Medical, dental and vision • Paid holidays and vacation time • 401K with company match Job Description • Help coworkers offload drums, boxes and bags of waste materials. • Operate forklift • Package and label the waste. • Consolidate small containers of like waste into larger containers • Load the waste onto the truck No experience is required, we can train a motivated individual who’s looking for a career in the waste disposal industry. There is room for advancement into a Hazardous Waste Specialist, which takes 1-2 years and pays $22-$32/hr.
