The Wyoming Airports Coalition is excited to be hosting a memorable Fall 2021 Conference in Casper at the Ramkota Hotel 9/7-9/10 The Wyoming Airports Coalition is excited to be hosting a memorable Fall 2021 Conference in Casper, Wyoming at the Ramkota Hotel. The WAC Board of Directors Meeting will be held on September 7th at the Casper/Natrona County International Airport’s new Public Safety Training facility and the Board of Directors welcomes anyone who may want to attend. Transportation from the hotel will be provided to the Training facility. Our annual golf tournament is scheduled for September 8th at the premier Three Crowns Golf Club. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and is 110 acres of manicured turf and 45 acres of native grasses. We invite everyone to join us in the second annual WAC Fun Run/Walk. The run/walk event starts at the Crossroads Adventure Park and winds along the beautiful and scenic Platte River Trails. The welcome reception will be held at the National Historic Trails Interpretative Center. If you have never been to the Center you are in for a treat. Transportation from the hotel will be provided to and from the Trails Center. Enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails as you explore exhibits related to names that are truly legendary in Western history, and on the Oregon, California, Mormon and Pony Express Trails.....plus, the Center has arguably the best view of Casper anywhere! For those in town on the 8th the Airport will be hosting an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting training facility dedication and demonstration. The new facility was recently completed and put into service in May. See for yourself why training in our facility is like no other. Transportation from the hotel will be provided to the dedication/demonstration. Thursday the 9th kicks off with a hearty breakfast before the start of our business sessions. Learn about what is new with the FAA, WYDOT Aeronautics, TSA, and your WAC Legislative Committee; partnering with other agencies, out of the box ideas to generate and maximize revenue, consultant selection best management practices, airport marketing – traditional and social media; and the first of two breakout sessions: Airport Engineering or Airport 101 – Orientation Session, and the ever popular general aviation or commercial airport roundtables. We will end the evening with the much anticipated WAC annual reception and banquet. Of course, we will have plenty of time during breakfast, breaks, and lunch to visit with all our conference exhibitors! Friday will start with breakfast and then the WAC general membership meeting. Immediately following the general membership meeting will be the WYDOT Aeronautics Commission Business Meeting. Of course, you are welcome to stick around for a day (or two, or three) and enjoy all that Casper and Natrona County has to offer! Hike some of our amazing mountain trails, go fly fishing or kayak the North Platte River, or visit the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center. Enjoy the local food and breweries, live music, and don’t forget some of our best food in Casper is on wheels, so keep an eye out for the many food trucks in Casper.
